Vaccinations Required and Recommended for Hajj and Umrah

Meningitis ACWY (Mandatory)

The Saudi Ministry of Health requires all Hajj and Umrah pilgrims aged 1 year and over to have proof of MenACWY vaccination, given at least 10 days and no more than 3 years before arrival. You cannot enter Saudi Arabia for pilgrimage without this. We supply the vaccine and issue the official certificate the same day.

Polio

Saudi Arabia requires polio vaccination certification from travellers arriving from certain countries. Even if not required from the UK, a polio booster is recommended if your last dose was over 10 years ago.

Seasonal Flu Vaccine (Recommended)

Hajj brings together millions of people in close proximity, making flu transmission very common. We strongly recommend the seasonal flu jab.
