How to Decide Which Vaccines You Need

Specialty vaccines aren’t one-size-fits-all. Our pharmacist will consider:

  • Your destination (urban vs rural, altitude, season)
  • Your trip duration
  • Your activities (trekking, animal contact, water sports, healthcare work)
  • Your accommodation (hotels vs camping)
  • Your medical history and current medications

Frequently Asked Question

How far in advance should I get specialty vaccines?

Ideally 6 to 8 weeks rabies needs 3 doses over 3 weeks, and Japanese encephalitis needs 2 doses 4 weeks apart. Some accelerated schedules are possible for last-minute travel.

Most travel vaccines, including all the specialty vaccines listed here, are not provided free on the NHS. They are private services. We offer transparent fixed pricing.

Most specialty vaccines have minimum ages. Our pharmacist will confirm which are suitable for your child during the consultation.

Beyond routine NHS immunizations, we offer a wide range of specialty vaccines for specific health and travel needs. This includes Yellow Fever (we are a certified center), Hepatitis A & B, Rabies, Japanese Encephalitis, and the Meningitis ACWY vaccine. We also provide occupation-related vaccines for those working in high-risk environments.

Yes. Our pharmacist will conduct a brief Risk Assessment to review your medical history, any current medications, and your specific requirements (such as your travel destination or job role). This ensures the vaccine is safe and appropriate for you. We recommend booking your appointment at least 4–6 weeks in advance, as some specialty vaccines require multiple doses to provide full protection.
